Blue Air Kombucha Cocktail and Mocktail
Recently, I was at Whole Foods-while my husband and kids waited in the car, I ran in to get “just a couple things for dinner.” Yeah, right. Forty-five minutes later, I came out with yummy, deliciousness in the form of kombucha bottles and a great recipe for a nice summer cocktail (oh, and some bags of food for dinner, too). Kombucha is a fermented tea-based drink which has been around for centuries but is just now gaining in mainstream popularity. It has wonderful health benefits and is packed with probiotics.
Buchi is an Asheville based kombucha company. (It’s now available at all Whole Foods locations throughout the mid Atlantic and some in the South East.) They were sampling the amazing tonics from their “Elemental” line. My favorites were Buchi Earth (which tastes like root beer) and Buchi Air which had a very refreshing minty, pineapple flavor. While I was sampling, the owner shared a favorite recipe–Air Gin. I changed it slightly by using Bombay Sapphire. I’m calling mine Blue Air. Simply take a bottle of Buchi Air, gently pour into your favorite cocktail glass, and add one part Bombay Sapphire. Then enjoy!
For a really, refreshing mocktail, enjoy Buchi Air in your favorite cocktail glass. And enjoy!
Editor note: I did not receive any compensation for this post. I’m just sharing a cool, new find. I hope you like it too.
