How to make a Super Easy Paper Christmas Tree!
My girls and I had soo much fun making these adorable paper Christmas trees. It was soo easy that they wanted to make them all day! In fact, these were so easy to make, I would definitely recommend using this Christmas Tree Craft for classroom holiday parties. How do I make this Paper Christmas Tree Craft Mess-free?
This activity can be as messy or non-messy as you want. We chose to go the really messy route—glue and lots of glitter. But you can also use a glitter glue pen for less mess. OR you could even use markers and crayons to decorate for total mess-free fun!Supplies
- Toilet paper tubes ( 1 tube can be used for 2 trees
- Green or various colored construction paper
- Stapler
- Brown or black marker
- Decorating Option A: Glitter Glue Pens (for less mess)
- Decorating Option B: Glitter and glue (this option IS messy but lots of fun)
- Decorating Option C: variety of markers or crayons
Steps
Step 1: Take a piece of construction paper. Hold it vertically and fold it accordion style. Step 2: Then fold it in half like you’re making a fan. Step 3: Staple it where the ends meet. Step 4: Next take your toile paper tube and draw squiggly lines so it looks like tree bark. We used the pine tree in our back yard for inspiration. Step 5: Next cut the toilet tube in half across the middle. Step 6: Once you have your brown tree bottom, cut a half inch slit on both sides so the fan-shaped tree can slide in.Now’s the fun part! DECORATING!
Decorating Option A—Decorate with a glitter glue pen. Decorating Option C—Decorate with markers or crayons. Decorating Option B-Decorate with Glitter and Glue If you chose this option, make a few horizontal rows of glue to represent the garlands. Then sprinkle on the glitter. Shake it off and reveal the pretty sparkle. VOILA! Your Very Own Paper Christmas Tree Forest! Don’t forget to Pin this for later!
