Technotini is now Our Sutton Place

Twelve years ago this summer, Technotini was born.  It began as part of my Master’s Thesis in interactive video.  The goal was to explore how advances in technology affect the way we interact with the media and communicate with one another.

This was the early days of blogging before FB had been invented, before Instagram, before Twitter, before Pinterest…  before social media. I fancied myself the Carrie Bradshaw of technology essays and looking back now at these very dated pieces is pretty funny.

Since those early days, I’ve changed and grown.  I’ve gotten married, started a family, and even survived breast cancer. Technotini evolved and grew too, serving readers through articles and resources designed to help busy moms find balance, laughter, and wisdom as they navigate the busy cocktail of modern parenthood.

However, like a favorite old reliable car, I feel that we’ve gone as far as we can with our Technotini name/brand, and it’s now time to retire it.  It’s been a good brand and helped all of us Celebrate the Cocktail of Life, but I think it’s time to move on…continue to grow…and switch to something that better reflects the direction of our website….which is why we are announcing our new name…..OUR SUTTON PLACE.

Technotini is now “Our Sutton Place”

Our Sutton Place will continue to provide helpful resources for the busy mom.

Our new focus will be to help our readers Live Creatively.

What does that mean exactly?

It means trying to incorporate a little bit more fun into every week and trying and use creativity to solve every day problems or stress points.

Think out of the Box.

Stay Balanced.

And Have Fun…with those that matter most!

One last toast for Technotini…

I came across the beautiful quote from Andy Warhol and thought it was the perfect way to bid adieu to my old brand.

They always say Time Changes Things, but YOU have to actually change them Yourself.

Times have changed.  I’ve changed. My blog’s changed.  And Now I’m officially changing my blog’s name/brand.  It’s a little bit scary.  But I’m excited. So thanks for sticking with me.
