Technotini’s Must-Have World Cup Workout Playlist
This world-cup inspired playlist will not only make you feel like a cardio champion but also help you stay fit during the difficult months of the holiday season.
World Cup Fever is sweeping the nation and it’s even making its way into our gyms, via music.
Last week I was at the gym, and I heard Shakira’s World Cup anthem while I was on the treadmill-it had such a great beat that it motivated me to amp up my pace from my “killer” 5.5 mph to 6.0 mph—yeah, try and catch me, I dare you! 🙂
But seriously…so I went to download the song and realized, there are a LOT of World Cup 2014 songs out there.
Who knew?!
(Probably people that pay closer attention to the World Cup than I do. Oops).
So, I’ve gone through and compiled a list of my faves. They are all very motivating from both a lyric and rhythm perspective. Check them out, I think your workout will thank you.
Technotini’s Must-have World Cup Playlist:
1) La La La (Brazil) by Shakira
This is my favorite. I like to imagine myself turning into Shakira with hips that don’t lie as I run even faster. You can catch Shakira performing this catchy little ditty July 13 during the World Cup closing ceremonies.
2) We are One (Ole Ola) by Pitbull
Also very good. I love the drums.
3) World Cup Song by Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, and Adrenalina
J-Lo and Ricky Martin-you know that’s gonna be a song you can move to, and I’m sure just by working out to it, you’re guaranteed an awesome J-Lo booty (yeah, wouldn’t that be nice?!!)
4) Dar um Jeito (We will find a way) by Will i Am and Santana
Will i Am and Santan-need I say more? No seriously? Do I? Ok, well, this one has very motivating lyrics, just as you would expect from Will i Am and of course, great musical accompaniment.
5) Cup of Life by Ricky Martin
This awesome oldy but goody that I just could not leave out, from the 1998 World Cup in France…La Copa de la Vida (Cup of Life) by Ricky Martin
Don’t forget to Pin This so you can refer to it whenever you need musical inspiration! It’s great during holiday time, when you might not be as motivated to go to the gym.
Do you have a favorite World Cup song that I missed? Please let me know. I’d love to hear it.
