Hi everyone! Welcome to another Toasting Tuesdays. Today, I'm toasting Technology for allowing us to…
Toasting Tuesdays-Toasting Alfonso Ribeiro
Hi everyone!
Thanks for joining me for another Toasting Tuesdays where we toast all great things that made us smile from the past week. I’m imagining us all sitting around on the back deck, the kids are playing nicely in the yard, and we have time to just sit back, relax, and laugh about fun water cooler conversation-mamma-style.
So the big news this week in pop culture was the Dancing with the Stars Season 19 cast lineup announcement, and it is a good lineup people!

The new season will feature super yummy “General Hospital” Heartthrob Antonio Sabato, Jr, Betsey Johnson (one of my all time favorite designers), Duck Dynasty heir Sadie Robertson, and Nascar legend Michael Waltrip, just to name a few. But how much were you smiling when you heard Alfonso Ribeiro will be joining the cast? I’m sure everyone remembers him as the straight laced uber prepster from “Fresh Prince of Bel Air.” Who didn’t love his little Carlton dance? But before the Carlton dance came the break dance. Remember during his famous “Silver Spoon” days with Ricky Schroeder? I was so excited to find this old commercial on You Tube. I think all the boys in my third grade class had their own Alfonso Ribeiro break dance board.
And while I was looking for this old break dance clip, I came across this super phenomenal clip from the Graham Norton show on BBC One--it starts off with talented Jaden Smith doing a very impressive impromptu rap–the apple certainly does not fall far from the tree–then it moves into a great, surprise “duet” of the “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” theme song with Will, Jaden, and..DJ Jazzy Jeff-–and finally…wait for it…the piece de resistance—a surprise cameo from Alfonso Ribeiro doing not only the Carlton but also his Jump on it dance!!!! This video will definitely make you smile and possibly bust a move. I really have no idea how Bradley Cooper is able to stand still in the background.
So let’s give a big toast to the old and new and always dancing!
Have a great Tuesday!
