I love Creative Market.

It’s an amazing online graphic arts wonderland—you could literally let yourself get lost in the artistry for hours—in fact, I think I have.  It’s like the Etsy of the graphic design world.  You name it, they have an independent designer that sells it.

You need firefly mason jars? They’ve got it.

Industrial chic font?  They’ve got it.

Templates for your hot new Instagram account? They’ve got it.

I’ve been using Creative Market for years—as a solo entrepreneur, it’s a valuable resource to have—high quality graphic arts/tools for affordable prices.

But it wasn’t until fairly recently that I realized I could also be using their products for my personal life.  My creative life.

My friend, Sarah, who blogs over at Ruffles and Rain Boots mentioned how she uses the illustrations from Creative Market for her Rock Painting activities that she does with her daughter.

And then my inspiration was on fire.  I could no longer just stay focused on these amazing graphics as a business woman.  From that point on—every time I received a shiny new email from Creative Market, I looked it at from both points—Creative Mom side AND Business Mom side.   And I realized I could be using all these great resources to create more creative moments with my kids.

How to Use this Free Craft Resource to Create More Magical Moments with Your Kids

First, you need to head on over to Creative Market and sign up for their Newsletter/Create an Account.

Why?

BECAUSE THIS IS WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS.

Every week, they offer 6 products for FREE.

That’s right!  FREE.

You could literally just grab high-quality products for FREE every week and NEVER, EVER buy anything. And no one would even care.

(Of course, they don’t want you to do that, and I only even say it just to emphasize the fact that there’s no pressure to buy anything…ever.)

The “Free Goods of the Week” are basically a way for designers to get their name out there. And it works. You might see something you like, download it for FREE, then come back and BUY something else in their store.  Or maybe you don’t need the free good they’re offering, but you LOVE their style and check them out and buy something else from their store.  It’s a pretty smart way to reach more customers.

But Shana—I am NOT a graphic designer.  I don’t know Photoshop!

You don’t have to!

That’s the beauty of this.

Most of the graphics and illustrations usually come with a plain .jpg or .png file (in addition to a .psd or photoshop file).  So, you’re golden.  Just grab those graphic files (.jpg or .png), print them out, and HAVE FUN.
