How to make Super Easy Watermelon Mint Lemonade and Frozen Popsicles – As Seen on TV!
As seen on TV–This watermelon mint lemonade is super easy to make and you can turn it into frozen popsicles! Bonus-I’m also sharing how to turn the watermelon into a watermelon drink dispenser—perfect for summer parties!
Here at Our Sutton Place, we LOVE all things watermelon. It’s basically the perfect summer fruit…after all it’s packed with vitamins, nutrients, and water (to keep you hydrated)!
So when I shared some of my favorite Summertime Entertaining Tips on Fox 31, I just had to share this new Watermelon Mint Lemonade Recipe.

We love to eat watermelon plain or in salad but we especially love to drink it. It’s so refreshing and it goes so well with so many different flavor combinations.
It’s also great for parties. In today’s article, I’ll share with you my favorite new watermelon recipe—Watermelon Mint Lemonade.
The secret to the easy-factor is that Yes—I do use pre-made lemonade.
My reasoning is that it has the same amount of sugar as if you were to make it yourself and it’s just, well… easier!
So then I can focus on other fun things like making a Watermelon Drink Dispenser and turning leftover juice into frozen popsicles!

How to Make a Watermelon Drink Dispenser
Several years ago, I learned about using your watermelon as a drink dispenser. I thought this was a completely brilliant idea and wrote a whole article about it but I was too nervous to try it.
Well, fast forward to the pandemic where I’ve been cooking real meals 3 X a day for an entire year….Now I’m much more confident in my culinary abilities.
So I decided to go for it!
And ya know what?
It was actually SUPER EASY! I swear!
Can I make the watermelon drink dispenser ahead of time?
Yes! You can certainly make the watermelon drink dispenser ahead of time. Simply wrap in plastic wrap and store in the fridge the day before you need it. When you go to use it, pour out any liquid that has accumulated and add your beverage.
How to Make a Watermelon Drink Dispenser

But basically, all you do is make a flat base by slicing off the bottom. Then you cut a flat piece off the top so you can scoop the insides.
Next, carve a hole with an apple core tool. This sounds a little scary but it’s super easy!
Then scoop out the inside fruit. Keep the fruit in a bowl and set aside. Only scoop out to JUST below your spigot hole.
Then attach a spigot. (I took one off of my plastic drink dispenser).
And voila you’re ready to make some fun watermelon juice!
How to Make Watermelon Mint Lemonade
How to make Super Easy Watermelon Mint Lemonade
This refreshing watermelon mint lemonade is super easy to make. It's easy enough for kids to make for their lemonade stands. It's also perfect for summer parties.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Cut up watermelon
- 2 cups Store-bought lemonade
- A handful of fresh mint.
- Handful of ice cubes
Instructions
1) Scoop out your watermelon.
2) Add the watermelon to the blender.
3) Next, pour in the lemonade.
4) Finally, add the mint and
ice cubes.
5) Blend until well mixed.
Enjoy!
If you’re using the watermelon dispenser, pour it into the
watermelon.
You can also use this juice to make kid-friendly
popsicles.
Just take the juice mixture, pour into the popsicle mold,
and let it set. It should be ready in
4-8 hours.
Notes
I used a 1:1 ratio of fruit and lemonade. So if I used 2 cups of fruit, I used 2 cups of lemonade.
