Dr. Oz Inspired Veggie Detox Drink
I’m a big fan of Dr. Oz, especially his weight-loss recipes and challenges.
In fact, I just put together a brand new cookbook (January 2020) that compliments the new Dr. Oz System 20 weight-loss plan.

I’ve always had good results with them because they’re easy to maintain and usually correlate to the Mediterranean diet which is how I live my life. (The Mediterranean Diet is a way of life inspired by the Mediterranean countries. It encourages you to eat healthy grains, low protein-particularly fish, and relax with red wine.)
This Dr. Oz inspired Veggie Detox Drink is great year-round, but it’s also nice in the summer when the heat zaps all your energy. It’s a great refreshing pick-me up. Fast to make and satisfying as an afternoon snack.
This drink is inspired by the Dr. Oz Veggie Flush which appeared in the Dr. Ox May 2016 “Shrink Your Stomach Challenge.” Dr. Oz prescribed drinking this juice several times a day whenever you begin to feel hungry.
While this drink is very refreshing and provides a nice boost of energy, I found that it never really satiated my hunger. Whenever I’d drink it as a snack, I’d get hangry (cranky from hunger) and ultimately start over-snacking on trail mix and cheese and whatever else I could grab. #TOTALFAIL
Then one day it hit me—what if I just added some protein powder? I tried that, and it totally worked! So here is the very refreshing and very satisfying Technotini version of the Dr. Oz Veggie Flush.
