ABBaS Smoothie -Almond Butter, Berries, Bananas, and Spinach!
I love simple to make smoothies packed with protein, fresh greens, and berries….Everything you need to start off your day right and get you going with energy and nutrients for a productive morning. Here’s a recipe for a new one I just made yesterday–it’s practically got the ABC’s of power foods but not quite (no citrus) just almond butter and berries and bananas (oh and spinach), so I’m calling it ABBaS Smoothie. It’ll get you up and moving, and turn you into a regular “Dancing Queen!” *Gold lame and platform shoes optional.
Recipe:
1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
1 banana
1/4 cup mixed berries (I use the organic frozen kind-they’re great all year round)
2 tablespoons ground flax seeds (ground seed meal)
2 big handfuls of fresh spinach
2 tablespoons almond butter
Blend until smooth and enjoy!
