Cowboys that don’t dance

Has anyone heard that relatively new song by Lee Brice “I don’t Dance”?  It’s really sweet…about this country boy who certainly doesn’t dance yet finds himself spinning round and round because of this amazing girl.  It’s romantic simplicity always makes me smile.  And…it reminds me of two things I love. The first is my husband who is not the biggest fan of dancing but often finds himself doing so because he knows it makes me happy. The second is one of my favorite 80’s movies– Footloose.

I admired Kevin Bacon’s character, who of course did dance, but I always really thought the best friend character, played by Chris Penn, was way cuter.  Remember?  The shy cowboy who was dating Sarah Jessica Parker’s character?  He could not dance at all!  But at the end, Kevin Bacon gets this two-left-footed cowboy on the dance floor.  Who doesn’t love this awesome scene?!!
