One day last year, I happened to be at the grocery store with my dad.…
Tips for Easy Girl Scout Cookie Thank You Notes & Labels
This year, my daughter joined the Girl Scouts for the first time.
She entered as a Daisy and has been earning badges for various philanthropic activities all year, learning about important concepts such as goal setting, task management, honor, responsibility–all leading up to the mother of all activities…..Girl Scout Cookie Season Sales!!!!
I was impressed with how much my daughter learned during Girl Scout Cookies Sales Season–everything from how to set achievable goals {“No, sweetheart-selling 1000 boxes, in order to win the American Girl Doll is not actually achievable-let’s start with 100” ~Side note-she ended up selling 137!} …to understanding your product and pricing, math problem solving, and of course remembering to incorporate philanthropy (donating boxes for servicemen/women overseas).
But when all of those dozens of sold boxes arrived, I wanted to be sure my daughter learned one more important lesson—the Thank You!
Tips for Easy Girl Scout Cookie Thank You Notes and Labels
So, of course, I searched on Pinterest and found these great Thank You Labels from Jamie who writes at FashionableMoms.com They’re designed to wrap around the box. BRILLIANT!
These box labels are super cute, however, if you have a customer that ordered multiple boxes-that’s A LOT of wrapping.
So, I decided to use the labels as a closure for the plastic bag. I also wrote the order on the label (this helped keep things organized when my daughter and I filled each bag).
Tips for Hand-written Girl Scout Thank you Notes
Now-a-days Girl Scouts can also set up their own cookie sales website and easily sell to friends or family who live far away. So to thank those friends who did not receive a hand-carried delivery, I had my daughter write an old fashioned Thank You note. To create these, I used the Pages software on my Mac to make a super simple personalized Thank You. Just go to New File then Cards. I chose the “Photo Card Horizontal” template. You can also create a simple photo Thank You note on Canva or PicMonkey.
Jamie at FashionableMoms.com also has some great Girl Scout thank you’s that just require the children to write their name, which is another nice option too because let’s face it—getting the little ones to write a full thank you note can take a long time, ok a really, really long time.
