Toasting Music-Sarah McLachlan Shines On at Red Rocks
So, I’m a little embarrassed to say I just recently heard some of the songs from Sarah McLachlan’s latest album “Shine On” which came out this past May. It’s a great album–lots of girl power songs which I’m sure I’ll highlight in a future Toasting Music post. But for today, I wanted to just stick with my new favorite “The Sound that Love Makes.” Complete with a ukulele, it’s both a super happy and romantic song–very reminiscent of Ice Cream. So, without further adieu, here’s “The Sound that Love Makes.”
As a side note–I was super excited to come across this version because it was recorded at Red Rocks in Colorado, which is where I met my husband. (In my title card, you can see a fun throw-back pic of us at a Dave Mathews Band show there in 2005.)
And now, just for some icing (or should I say Ice cream) on the cake, here’s the classic “Ice Cream” song. (The person who taped this was crazy close to the stage–pretty cool).
